We. The Jams. And You.
In October of 2016, Alexander Kaufmann (who is also behind Koi and Fugazi No° 15) acquired the Hotel Preysing in the much-loved French Quarter. His goal was to create something new and unlike anything else in Munich. He developed the idea of a new music hotel offering accommodation at mid-market rates – and thus Preysing became JAMS. To operate the hotel, the hotelier Ulrich Demetz from South Tyrol joined him as a partner. Demetz has been involved with his long-time friend and associate’s project from the very beginning and shares Kaufmann’s entrepreneurial vision. Right from the start, they agreed completely – it had to be anything but average.
Since it opened in March 2019, JAMS has been a hotel that combines music, design, and personal service in a completely new way. It’s “the Place to Be” for anyone looking for a laid-back yet inspiring atmosphere who also wants to experience the sound of the city.
JAMS in Munich is a music hotel with a unique concept. Our vision was to combine the hotel, gastronomy, and music with one another to create a 360° cultural experience. Our guests not only value the experience of staying in a unique hotel shaped by the unmistakable qualities of vinyl, but also enjoy its urbane and authentic charm. Exclusivity is our motto. We want to offer more than “just” a room. When guests book with us, they check in to a hospitality culture where we live and breathe service. And they check out with the great feeling of having been in the right place at the right time.
JAMS Music Hotel Munich is part of JAMS Hospitality GmbH, a company founded by Alexander Kaufmann in 2018.
